We're all familiar with the traditional headshot on a plain backdrop, but what most people don't realize is that these photos become dated quickly because backdrop trends are constantly changing. If you've ever seen an old family photo taken at the Sears Portrait Studio, you know what I mean.
Shooting on-location provides a timeless and personalized result that you can use across all websites and social media platforms. Your employer specifically wants a photo of you on a white background? No worries, there is room for both. I have portable backdrops that I can bring with me to any shoot.
Multiple outfits and locations allow you break outside the traditional mold and truly express yourself. The goal is not to get you one good photo but a variety of photos in different outfits and scenarios because we are all multi-faceted, unique individuals and should be treated as such!
One or two photos is simply not enough to capture someone. More photos per package means you have options. You're no longer forced to use that corporate headshot on LinkedIn for your website, Facebook, etc.
Different platforms can be used to show off different sides of ourselves. I want to make sure you have a photo that is professional enough for LinkedIn and one that's artsy enough for Instagram. Who says you can't have both?
