Orangeville Wedding Photography: Genevieve & Taylor

After having to postpone their wedding a few times, Genevieve and Taylor held their wedding celebration on July 23rd, 2022. I always appreciate a unique location and I love what they chose! They had their ceremony and reception at the Terra Cotta Conservation Area (about 30 minutes from Orangeville). The ceremony was held in the amphitheater and the reception was underneath a large pergola. They planned the whole thing and had Collective Creations Events as the coordinators.

It was an incredibly hot day, but we were lucky that the ceremony area was surrounded by a lot of shady trees. The main priority for this couple was not taking traditional wedding photos, but capturing candid photos all throughout. The only posed photos they requested were a few with their daughter and long time friends.

The ceremony was filled with a lot of laughs as their daughter was passed back and forth in the front. She was incredibly happy and clapping the whole time. It was impossible not to feel her joy!

After the ceremony, we all walked to the reception area where the speeches and dinner began. For dessert, Genevieve and Taylor actually stood with the catering company and handed out pie to every single guest, which I absolutely loved! What a great way to get in some one on one time with everyone.

The day concluded with a live band and lots of dancing. It was so nice to take a step back and really focus on those natural interactions and moments. I always love a relaxed and intimate wedding!
