Nicole contacted me to do a big family shoot at her in-law’s place just outside of Orangeville. It would include cousins, grandparents, and even the family dog! What made this shoot even more magical was that it took place at a beautiful home on 100 acres of land. Oh, and it was also during the most gorgeous transition period from Summer to Fall, when all the leaves were at their most vibrant.

Driving up the house was so breath-taking that I had to stop and take a video. The long driveway was covered in the most vibrant fall leaves and the overhead trees created the perfect tunnel. Needless to say, we went back there for photos later.

There was no shortage of beautiful locations to use: trails behind the house, an open field, and there was even a pond on the property that the kids swim in during the Summer! The Cool family wanted to recreate a photo that they had taken on the front steps of the house so we made sure to get that one in as well.

It was so fun interacting with the kids and getting them to throw leaves and run around the property for some more candid shots. Keeping them active and a part of the process allowed this shoot to go for two hours without any issues!

The grandparents were thrilled with how well everything went and how engaged the kids were throughout. I think it shows in the photos that this family has a lot of fun together! I am so happy with how authentic and emotional the final images feel.
